Royal Event Festbier (2026)
‘Tis the season to Fest!
5.6% ABV
The original Party Lager™️ returns to culminate the final shabang of this little experiment we’ve been calling BrewBilt. For those who must ask “What is Festbier” we’ve come prepared with a detailed explanation. Festbier, as we know it today, is a golden hued lager reminiscent of a classic Helles lager. Generally a bit stronger, perhaps a touch hoppier, just as balanced, and eminently quaffable. A certified crusher. A golden elixir primed to keep your Stein perpetually full and continuously empty at the same damn time. Got it? Good.
Our Festbier hereby named Royal Event is no different. A crisp, golden, refreshing, balanced lager singularly hopped with German-grown Tettnang. We keep the abv approachable and sub-six percent to encourage rounds of enjoyment before falling off your stool.
We blended a distinct blend of Pilsner malts to create a layered malt foundation. Floor malted Haná malt from our dear friends at Admiral Maltings paired with their flagship Pilsner malt provides a sturdy base for light additions of German grown Weyermann Barke Pils & Isaria 1924. Isaria provides a richer golden tone of color and flavor without becoming heavy handed.
Our house lager strain harkens from the special monastery brewery known as Kloster Andechs of Bavaria. Anyone who has climbed the bucolic hillside up to the brewery knows this place to become engrained in the hearts and minds of any fan of delightful and divine lagerbier. We ferment low and slow as always, capturing natural CO2 along the way and allowing us to provide a spritzy 2.80 carb volume to elevate and encourage drinkability. Patient maturation in horizontal lagering vessels allows the final bits of yeast to drop and express a sparkling beauty of a beer without filtration or further fining in the cellar.
Our final lager release reminds us that all things in this world are fleeting, impermanent, and ephemeral. In this spirit we encourage you to gather with those you love, those whom surround you, and to clink glasses with strangers. For the act of sharing space with others is quickly becoming a lost art - we must not allow machines to manipulate our whimsey! Remember there is light in your eyes! Hold fast to those glimmers of hope and joy before the algorithm can monetize your autonomy to death. We are here to be imperfect humans. Celebrate together and live deeply for this is what confirms our existence. In other words, keep calm and party on.
A festivus for the rest of us.
