THE TEAM.
Bennett Buchanan
President/Co-founder
Bennett brings brewing and hospitality experience from his time in San Francisco operating a brewpub and brewing for a larger regional brewery. He charts the path for the company and oversees operations at the brewery and BrewHaus. Along with all things beer, he loves live music, skiing, and biking.
Chelci Buehler
Director of Operations
Chelci wears a lot of hats at BrewBilt, including bookkeeping, HR, and regulatory compliance. She generally keeps our i’s dotted and t’s crossed. Outside of BrewBilt, she is involved with a ton of local causes, including leading the annual Nevada County Toy Run.
Austen Conn
Head Brewer
Austen has over a decade of professional brewing experience as well as formal brewing education in Chicago and Germany. His intense passion for crafting intentional beers is the cornerstone of our portfolio. When this wizard steps up to the cauldron, good things are coming down the line. Fun fact: Austen has biked a loop around the entire continental US!
Matt Burnes
Brewer
Matt has nearly 20 years of brewing experience from several breweries up and down the California coast. His diligence and attention to detail are critical to our production. When he’s not in the brewery, he’s an avid mycologist who also enjoys scouring Craigslist for vintage organs and small motorcycles.
Jack Bates
Area Sales Manager
Jack joined BrewBilt from the bar and hospitality world, which explains his natural ability to connect with customers. He is our road warrior, visiting hundreds of accounts every month and ensuring we are provide the best customer service. He loves attending SF Giants games, hiking in the Foothills, and amassing one hell of a beer cellar.
Joe Joaquin
Area Sales Manager
Joe brings over 20 years of successful sales management experience coming from the 2nd largest brewery in the US. When he’s not out in the trade getting our brands sold in at retail, he may be found on a paddle board or golf course with a cold BrewBilt beer in hand
Allie Anderson
Admin Support
Allie performs a variety of tasks at the brewery, including invoicing, inventory control, and bookkeeping support. In addition to being the friendliest person in Nevada County, she is an accomplished swimming coach.
Shaylynn Kelly
Accounts Payable & HR
Shaylynn brings an eagerness and versatility that keep the brewery running smoothly in so many ways. She’s a proud mom to a teenage daughter and recently jumped back into college to pursue her business degree.
